WASHINGTON (AP) - Peanut butter ice cream made by The Hershey Creamery Company has been added to the long and growing list of peanut products being recalled because of concerns about salmonella contamination.
Hershey Creamery is recalling its goo goo peanut butter ice cream, which was available in Connecticut and several other states.
There haven't been any reports of people getting sick from the ice cream.
Congress is looking into the national salmonella outbreak and vowing to press for stronger food safety laws and more money for inspections.
Connecticut Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro is among the lawmakers who are pushing for reforms.
The salmonella outbreak has sickened at least 550 people nationwide, eight of whom have died.
A peanut-processing plant in Blakely, Georgia, that produces
