BOSTON (AP) - Former Massachusetts House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi is heading back to federal court to face additional criminal charges.
DiMasi will be arraigned today on an expanded indictment that adds extortion to an earlier list of public corruption charges.
The original indictment alleged DiMasi and three associates rigged two lucrative state contracts for the software company Cognos in exchange for payments.
Another indictment released last month added the extortion charge. All four men have pleaded innocent to the charges.
