Berry Plastics cuts hours

(WWLP) - A local business is cutting four hours out of every employee's work week.

To avoid pink slips Berry  Plastics in Easthampton is cutting hours to a 36 hour work week.
While employees are coping with a smaller check, Berry  says they had no choice.

Production Manager Patsy Scibelli is optimistic the demand will bounce back, so for now the hour reduction across the board is temporary. For how long? is the question.

Scibelli says this past week they have a seen a pick up in orders, but they are relying on the incoming adminstration to turn things around.
