INDIAN ORCHARD, Mass. (WWLP) - A 9-year-old boy is alive today thanks to a courageous Wilbraham school crossing guard who risked his life to save the little boy.
The Pioneer Valley Red Cross honors Joe Lesniak of Indian Orchard later this month as a hometown hero.
22News caught up with Joe Lesniak on the job.
One afternoon last year, this beloved Stony Brook elementary school employee would suddenly confront a life or death crisis when Joe saw an out of control driver bearing down on him and little Timmy Budrow.
