Arrest made in Silk City Tap murder

FLORENCE, Mass. (WWLP) - Police arrested 26 year-old James Duffy Jr. of Haydenville Friday in connection with the death of John Connell.

Connell was found dead at the Silk City Tap Room in Florence on January 3rd.

Mr. Duffy is being charged with manslaughter and is being held at the Hampshire County House of Correction on a $500,000 cash bail.

He will be arraigned in Northampton District Court on Monday, January 26th.

An autopsy revealed that Connell died of head trauma from hitting his head on the ground.
