(WWLP) - The freezing cold left residents all over the Bay State with
chapped hands and rosy cheeks on Monday.
The snow may have stopped, but the frigid wind was blowing
flakes from the tops of buildings and cars, causing drifts in areas
people spent hours outside clearing.
“You feel you just did the snow and the wind is just
blowing it all around. Here we go again!” Jane Longhi of
Chicopee said.
United States Postal employees are some of the many workers
who had to endure the freezing cold on the job. 22News spoke to one
mail carrier in downtown Springfield who called the conditions
outside "absolutely terrible.” He said everything takes much
longer in the snow and cold.
But the freezing cold didn’t stop last minute holiday
shoppers. One shopper told 22News the bitter cold puts him in the
Christmas spirit.
