Day of play for school children

(WWLP) - While the snow may cause anxiety for those who have to drive in it, others are having a day of play.

Despite not having school, these youngsters showed up behind West Springfield Senior High School to take advantage of the snow covered hill.

This year's winter has had several snow days already, with some school systems extending the school year and even going on Saturdays.

That was far from the minds of these kids.

Schools and businesses across New England were closed due to the storm that has stretched from the southern Plains to the East Coast.
