Fire puts family out of home in the early morning

WALES, Mass. (WWLP) - A fire in Wales early this morning puts a family out of their home. Firefighters battled a blaze at 127 Monson Road. The fire broke out just before five this morning at the single family home.
 

Chief Paul Morin from the Wales Fire Department told 22News that the fire started in the kitchen wood stove and spread to the chimney.  The family was alerted by smoke detectors and got out of their home safely without any injuries.
