Kid digs up rings lost for decades

FRANKLIN, Mass. (WWLP) - Child's play turned into a major find for a Bay State toddler.

He dug up a woman's wedding rings lost more than three decades ago.

Ryan Baima of Franklin, MA was playing in the dirt at his house when he found the two bands of gold.

The home's original owner thought they were gone forever when she lost them 33 years ago.

After some detective work, mom delivered the good news over the phone.

She said I think I have something that belongs to you and immediately it flashed through my mind that's what it was. I couldn't believe it!"

Joan gave little the three year old 50-dollars for his handy work.

The retired school teacher plans to fix the rings in time for her 50th wedding anniversary next summer.
