(WWLP) - Some legislators would like to make school days longer.
According to the Boston Globe, A new bill called the TIME Act
would provide funds for extended school days. Senator Ted Kennedy
is a supporter of this bill.
American students already spend 30 percent less time in
school than other leading countries.
Kennedy says that in order to compete with other nations,
America has to step up its education system.
Framingham's Brophy Elementary School started the extended
school day last year. So far, they have seen an increase in test
scores.
