(WWLP) - Police have identified a suspect in two attempted bank robberies
Thursday afternoon -- 40 year-old Darren Crosby.
In a news release, Springifeld Police Sgt. John Delaney said
the first attempted robbery happened shortly before noon at the
People's Bank branch on South Street in Holyoke.
Holyoke Police Sergeant Michael Sheedy told 22News a suspect
slipped a note to a teller, but ran out of the bank before he could
get any cash.
A few minutes later, a similar incident unfolded in the Bank
of America branch on Main Street in Springfield.
The Ludlow Police Department has also identified Crosby as a
suspect in a recent bank robbery in their town.
If you have any information on Crosby's location,
you’re asked to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at
413-787-6355. If anyone spots Crosby, they should call 9-1-1 right
away. Police believe that he will try another robbery in western
Massachusetts.
