Thousands thrill to the model railroad

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) - The Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield is again the mecca for model railroad enthusiasts from all over Western Massachusetts and the Northeast.

The Amherst Railway society is putting on quite a show for thousands of fans.

The once a year weekend event attracts thousands of visitors, many of them representing three generations from a single family.

Judah Segal of Goshen, Massachusetts told 22News, "His father installed in him the love for model trains, and he's pass that along to his son".

The show is so big, it takes up space in several of the Big E exhibition halls.

The trains with all their bells and whistles will continue rolling along and thrilling spectators all weekend long.
