(WWLP) - 22News is ‘Working for You’ with tips to stay safe
this Halloween, but still make sure your night is filled with fun.
AAA wants to remind drivers to go slow, turn their headlights
on, and watch for children in the road or crossing the street.
Parents should tell their children to stop at well-lit homes, wait to eat their candy until they get home, and establish a time for their children to return home. Children should wear reflective clothing on their costumes and remember to stay on the sidewalks. Also, try not to have them wear masks that could obstruct their vision.

The spread of swine flu is another major concern with this
year’s trick-or-treating.
You should give your children some hand sanitizer to use during
the route for trick or treating. If you are having a Halloween
party, make sure kids do not bob for apples and stick their face in
the same bucket of water. Also, for people handing out candy, you
should put the candy into kids bags instead of having them grab it
from the bowl themselves.
