NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Michelle Obama is getting a lot of cheers and jeers for her
latest fashion statement. The First Lady was photographed wearing
shorts on her family vacation to the Grand Canyon.
Some are saying shorts are not appropriate for the wife of
the President of the United States. They think those Michelle Obama
wore in particular were too short.
However, others say Michelle Obama should be able to wear
whatever she wants, especially if she's got the legs worthy to show
off.
"I think she's like everyone else, and she should be allowed
to wear whatever she wants. She's an independent woman and just
because she's the President's wife doesn't make her inhuman," said
Ryan Riel of Easthampton.
"You should wear what you're comfortable with and what the
occasion requires and on vacation you wear them," added Mike Welsh
of Keene, New Hampshire.
22News could not find anyone opposed to Obama's shorts, but many online bloggers think otherwise.
