PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WWLP) - Massachusetts is one step closer to having its own "Hollywood."
The state's environmental chief has cleared the way for a
proposed movie studio in Plymouth to move to the design and
permitting phase.
Massachusetts Environmental Affairs Secretary granted
Plymouth Rock Studios a final waiver to build an access road and
related infrastructure.
Plymouth Rock Studios is expected to include 14 sound stages,
a 10-acre back lot, and a theater on a 242-acre site.
Supporters say the project is expected to generate more than
2-thousand jobs and develop into a unique tourist attraction.
