SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Cash for clunkers is still creating a clunk for some dealerships here in the bay state.
The General Manager at Metro Jeep in Springfield told 22News they still haven't seen any money from the government for their cash for clunker sales.
Dealers have ten days to submit the transactions on the government website.
Then once the government has received the documents from the
dealership and it’s been approved, they have 10 to 15
business days to pay the dealers.
Vicky Gonzales from Metro Jeep told 22News this long tedious
process is causing them problems.
“We have not received any of the cash yet most dealers
have not realized their vehicles yet because every deal we have
submitted is pending.”
The General Manager also said they are running out of cars
for the cash for clunkers deal.
