LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Ludlow's Jenna Williamson just reached an important basketball milestone and she has a chance to become Ludlow's highest scoring basketball player ever, boys or girls. Williamson is the 22News athlete of the week.

"I practice a good amount, my dad taught me how to shoot", says Williamson. Her coach Tim Brillo adds, "
she has free range, there isnt a bad shot."

Coming from a coach that says a lot about Jenna Williamson. Inside or outside, Williamson can score with the best of them. She passed 1000 points in her career in a game against Northampton last week.

"I haven't really focused on that, I thought about it, but I haven't focused on it. Getting to the plaoffs is the main priority", says the Ludlow senior.

Ludlow has turned its season around after a rough start. The playoffs are a real possibility. Williamson says that the difference begins in practice.

"We pass a lot better, our offense is running a lot smoother, we're trusting each other a lot more and just making our little shots that we needed to make", says Williamson.

A 4-year starter, Ludlow's point guard can distribute as well as she can score.

"I like giving the ball to my teammates down low when they have the open shot, I keep telling them to shoot the ball more", says Williamson.

"She sets the tone, we have a lot of young kids that are playing and they are just following her lead", says Brillo.
