SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A CT scan has led to the discovery of a benign mass in Springfield Falcons player Wade MacLeod , his family says.

MacLeod’s family released a statement on Thursday saying that he will be undergoing further examination so that doctors can figure out what treatment will be right for him.

MacLeod suffered a seizure while on the ice during a game against the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday. The game was stopped, and he was taken to Baystate Medical Center. MacLeod was released from the hospital on Monday.

His family has requested privacy as doctors continue their work.
