(WWLP) - Local hockey fans are mourning the death of hockey legend Jimmy Anderson.
He was an American Hockey League Hall of Famer, who helped the Springfield Indians win three Calder Cups in the early 1960s.
Anderson's overtime goal beat Rochester to clinch the 1962 Calder Cup at the Coliseum in West Springfield.

Anderson went on to become the all-time leader in Springfield pro hockey history in games played and goals and points scored.
After he retired, he spent 19 years as a scout for the NHL's L-A Kings and lived in Agawam. Jimmy Anderson died Sunday at the age of 82.
