NEW ORLEANS (WWLP) - Power has been restored to the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana after a more than 30 minute outage.
It was during the 3rd quarter when suddenly, the lights in half of the stadium went out and the broadcast booth went dark.
According to CBS Sports announcers, the outage was due to some type of power "surge."
Technical crews performed a full power check of the stadium and the game resumed.
It's not clear exactly what caused the power to go out in the first place.
