Patriots fans tailgating in style

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) - The Patriots and Jets are trying to get one step closer to the Super Bowl. 22News Sports Anchor Ryan Walsh spent Sunday in Foxborough and he found a group of Patriots fans from Western Mass taking part in one of the biggest tailgate parties outside Gillette Stadium.

"There's a lot of people involved in this, it starts on Wednesday and ends on Sunday with a victory", says Tailgate Chef Marty O'Shea.

Chef Marty, as his friends call him, started having small tailgate party before Patriots games ten years ago. What started with four people, has turned into more than 100.

"It's a family reunion, drinking, eating having fun, it's great", says Agawam's Sean Grealis.

O'Shea describes what on his tailgate menu.

"We have some great lobster crab cakes, those are going to be good, sausage and peppers,
pulled pork, chili, barbeque chicken legs", says O'Shea.

I asked if he was making anything special for the Jets, one of the tailgators yelled "pigs feet."

If you couldn't tell, this was a Patriots only party. 

"You can't have any enemies, no Jets fans, nobody from New York, even 'Connecticuters' you have to worry about, you don't know where they go", says Agawam's Jack Patterson.

These are hardcore fans, who enjoy cheering for their Patriots before, during and after the game.  It's tailgate parties like this that get these fans ready for playoff football.

"It's a combination of everything, the good weather, good fire pits, good food, good people, good spirits and it makes a great tailgate", says South Hadley's Dale Gurek.
