Boston College upsets #1 North Carolina

Boston, Mass. (AP) - Boston College's upset of top-ranked North Carolina has earned the Eagles their first Top 25 ranking of the basketball season.
 

BC was ranked 17th in The Associated Press poll on Monday after Sunday's 85-78 victory on the road. The Eagles are 13-2 and the Tar Heels are 13-1. The Eagles were led by Tyrese Rice with 25 points and Rakim Sanders with 22.
 

BC's next three games are at home on Wednesday against Harvard, Saturday against Miami and Jan. 14 against Wake Forest.
No. 4 Wake Forest is the only ranked team among the three and is 13-0. North Carolina dropped from first to third after the loss to Boston College.
