Gaffney in NBA's summer league

(WWLP) - Tony Gaffney didn't hear his name called at the NBA draft, but the UMass alums' hoop dreams continue.

Gaffney will play with the Los Angeles Lakers summer league team.

This gives Gaffney a chance to showcase his skills not only to the Lakers, but around the rest of the league.

A strong performance could help Gaffney land in a NBA training camp or in the D-League.

The summer league tips off on Friday July 10th in Las Vegas.
