WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - 6th seeded Holyoke won the rubber game against Agawam when it counted. Holyoke defeated the Brownies 5-3 in the Western Mass Division III-A hockey quarterfinals.
Nick Blais had a hat trick for the Purple Knights.
Holyoke jumped out to a 3-0 before Gage Laflamme and Bob Johnson scored for Agawam to close the gap in the 2nd period. Blais added a tally for Holyoke before the period came to a close.

Tuesday night, #6 Holyoke and #2 Chicopee will play Tuesday night at 8pm at the Olympia in West Springfield in one semifinal.
In the other semifinal, to be played Tuesday at 6pm, also at the Olympia, top seeded Taconic will hit the ice for the first time since the regular season when it faces 4th seeded Belchertown.
