The Springfield Slamm improved to 5-3 with a 135-109 win over Big Dog Entertainment in the Hartford Pro-Am.
UConn incoming freshmen, Darius Smith and Ater Majok led the way. Majok had 19 points and 12 blocks, showing off a Hakeem Olajuwon style baseline jumper, while Smith paced the Slamm with 27 points.
Springfield moves to 5-3 on the season and into a 3rd place tie. The Slamm play again on Thursday night.
