AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - No respect. The UMass hockey team upset number 2 Boston
University. Then Minutemen couldn't even crack the national
rankings.
UMass continues Hockey East play on Friday. when it hosts
Maine. The Minutemen say they aren't too concerned being left out
of the national rankings, in October.
"People will reward you when things take shape and you deserve to be rewarded", UMass head coach Don "Toot" Cahoon says. "The only ranking that matters is the one at the end of the year."
UMass sophomore T.J. Syner adds, "We try not to think about that, but after a big win you expect something in the rankings, but if we keep winning, it eventually will happen."
UMass hosts Maine, Friday night at 7.
