INDIANAPOLIS (WWLP) - In the streets of downtown Indianapolis, it was extremely difficult to move around Friday night, less than 48 hours before the start of Super Bowl XLVI. Numerous downtown streets are closed to allow full access to pedestrians, but even so, the streets are packed with people.
Among the places where it is nearly impossible to move is in front of the city's famous St. Elmo's Steakhouse, where hundreds of people are staking the place out to see celebrities.
Many more have lined the streets to see the popular musical group LMFAO, which performed a free concert downtown Friday.
One woman told 22News compared the atmosphere here to Times Square on New Year's Eve. In this case, however, rather than a few city blocks, it is literally the entire downtown that is filled with people, and Saturday will surely be even more crowded.
Remember to stay with 22News on air, online, and on the go, Saturday we are scheduled to be on the red carpet for the prestigious NFL Honors dinner, which will be broadcast right on 22News.
