(WWLP) - It's been years in the making...and finally...it's happening.  Phase one of the redevelopment plan for Union Station will officially be launched today.


The case against former East Longmeadow Selectman Jack Villamaino will continue in court today with a procedural hearing...the same day the town is holding a special preliminary election to eventually replace him.

It's still not clear why the F-B-I and State Police are investigating the police department in the Berkshire County town of Lee.


This Thanksgiving plenty of people will cook their turkeys with friers and most of them will do it correctly.  But others won't and they risk starting potentially deadly fires.  Firefighters say these appliances must be managed properly to stay safe.  And if a fire does start you need to know how to put it out without accidentally making it worse.
