(WWLP) - Baystate Medical Center will dedicate their new 46 million dollar emergency and trauma department in Springfield today.

A woman was shot in the chest in Springfield early this morning and her uncle has been arrested.

Today on 22News at Noon we'll introduce you to some service dogs who are trained to literally smell when a diabetic patient's blood sugar is too low.   At Canine Hope for Diabetics the dogs are trained to be obedient and to be alert to a distinct scent that says their owner is in danger.
