(WWLP) - An elderly man has been hospitalized after being stabbed at least 18 times by someone who broke into his home in Springfield.

Former New York Mayor Ed Koch has died at the age of 88.

The state's welfare chief has resigned in the wake of a report that found widespread waste and the distribution of millions of dollars to people not eligible for benefits.


Today marks the tenth anniversary of the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" campaign. Over the past decade awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women has gone up and deaths have gone down.
