(WWLP) - State police have arrested an alleged drunk driver who they say made a u-turn on the Mass-Pike in Palmer and drove the wrong way for about four miles.  It happened just before 4 this morning.  Trooper Darren Specht told 22News Patrick Carroll was swerving and weaving on the highway, before he got off at Exit 8 in Palmer.  State Police arrested him at a nearby gas station.

Prosecutors have dropped kidnapping and attempted murder charges against two people accused of trying to hang a 9-year-old girl from a tree in Northampton.

Police in Holyoke and Springfield are investigating separate shootings.

A man in Springfield is charged with starting a fire in his own home ...with his mother and daughter still inside.

Is there a Starbucks diet??? A woman claims she's lost nearly 85 pounds after eating 3 meals a day at Starbucks for two years.  She says Starbucks puts nutrition information on the labels of their packaged foods...which made it easy to keep track of exactly how much she was eating.
