(WWLP) - The judge who ruled that state taxpayers must cover the cost of a sex-change operation for a transgender prison inmate...has also ruled taxpayers must also cover  the prisoner's legal bills.   U.S. District Court Chief Judge Mark Wolf has set a deadline of Thursday for Michelle Kosilek's legal team to submit a suggested bill to the court.   Wolf is urging lawyers for both sides to meet and try and reach a resolution that will avoid additional litigation and costs fighting his order.

East Longmeadow police arrested two juveniles early this morning for breaking into a vehicle and stealing a GPS.  Sgt. Daniel Bruno told 22News that the two Springfield teens, 15 and 16, were seen riding bicycles around 2:30 this morning the North Main Street and Gerrard Avenue areas.   They were wearing dark clothes and gloves and carrying backpacks containing stolen items, flashlights and tools.

Police are investigating whether or not the two are responsible for other car break-ins in the area.
Their names are not being released.
