CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - If you rely on snow for your money in the winter, then you were likely disappointed last year. Recent snowfall, however, has increased optimism for area plow drivers this season.
Plow trucks were out in force Wednesday night into Thursday morning, getting streets, driveways and parking lots cleared. 22News caught up with plow driver John Hackett in Chicopee, who says that any snow is great for business.
“Hopefully we'll have more, and I wish it came a little earlier, but I'll take what I can get,” said Hackett, who is also a landscaper.
The snow we saw in western Massachusetts in the last 24 hours is providing much-needed money in the pockets of not only plow drivers, but also operators of ski resorts, and vendors of snow-removal equipment.
