WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - As WMECo gears up to battle the after-effects of Hurricane Sandy across its service territory, line workers and support staff from as far away as the Midwest will converge at the Eastern States Exhibition, Better Living Center, as they prepare to assist in the repair and restoration effort.

Hurricane Sandy is expected to arrive in Western Massachusetts on Monday and WMECo is preparing for the worst after the October snowstorm.
