CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts is less than 24 hours from the start of what is expected to be a major winter storm, and the school districts for the region’s two largest cities have already cancelled school.
Chicopee Public Schools and Springfield Public Schools have both announced that they will be closed on Friday. St. Michael’s Academy in Springfield has also announced that they will be closed Friday.
It is likely that more districts around the area will cancel classes for Friday, as the region c ould see between 12 and 18” of snow.
