CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Clouds have ruled our skies for days at a time.
A storm system to our northeast has brought a constant flow of moisture, not allowing much more than just a few breaks of blue skies among the gray clouds.
"It's kind of depressing, my son gets up every day, he watches you guys every morning and asks me every day "when's the sun going to come out daddy?" Hopefully tomorrow," said John Pajak of West Springfield.
After finishing a very snowy February, the cool and cloudy conditions that we're experiencing now can really have an affect on your mood.
"It makes the day gloomier. You don't have all the ambition you want to do [compared to] when the sun's out. It affects your mood. You feel like you're closed in, in one area, but you get through it," said Jack Crowley of Chicopee.
While the clouds have been a downer for many of us, temperatures have still stayed above freezing during the day...continuing to melt the big leftover snow piles.
That's allowed for a safer drive as many people are looking forward to more spring like temperatures.
"At least you can see when you're pulling out of streets. For a few weeks there it was a little rough trying to drive around town. So it's a little better now," said Jon Fennell of West Springfield.
Some sunshine is expected later this week. For the 22News Storm Team Forecast click here .
Don't forget, spring officially begins March 20th, that's just over two weeks away!
