CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Just a few days ago, we had a pretty good amount of snow on the ground but now most of it is gone.
The warm weather and the rain on Wednesday night into Thursday morning has melted most of the snow away. In fact, some lawns are even looking pretty green.
The disappearance of the snow isn't sitting well with Chicopee resident Jason Christian and his son Ethan, who look forward to it this time of year.
“I like snow on the ground. Just three days ago, the roads were completely iced up and I would drag him in a sled and pull him down the road, and now we have nothing, you know what I mean?” Christian said.
Last year, we didn't have much snow, but we all remember how much snow was on the ground in January 2011. The snow was piled so high that it forced many people to shovel off their roofs, and it made driving and walking quite a challenge; even on days when it wasn’t actually snowing.
