CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - After what has been a very dry month, western Massachusetts picked up some much needed rainfall.

The problem was, in some spots it was a lot of rain in a short period of time.

Heavy rain moved in across parts of western Massachusetts Saturday afternoon and that caused some problems with street flooding.

The rain caused flooding on Nash Street in Chicopee and street flooding has been reported in other areas across western Massachusetts.

In Springfield there was significant flash flooding on Mill Street and in Longmeadow there was flooding on Williams Street and on Converse Street.

Always remember if water covers the road, "turn around, don't drown".
