SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - While it has been a pretty wet start to the month it hasn't really been all that cool.

The leaves are changing and it continues to look more and more like fall.

Despite some rain, temperatures have been pretty seasonable. We've been in the 60's this week but the humidity has made it feel a bit more like August or September and temperatures over the next couple of days are expected to be up into the 70's.

"It makes it difficult to know how to dress often times. Some times you may dress for a colder temperature and it ends up being warmer,” said Janie Tarver of Chicopee.

"A little cooler but today's great. A little muggy, it's a good day for walking,” said David Bradley of Springfield.

At the beginning of the month of October high temperatures are usually in the upper 60's but by the end of the month high temperatures are only in the upper 50’s.

One thing we've seen quite a bit of so far this month is rain.

As we head through the month most of us are hoping we don't see a repeat of what we saw at the end of last October when we were hit by a devastating snowstorm.
