It's snowing in western Mass.!

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A *WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY* is in effect for all of western Massachusetts through 7 AM Thursday.

The flakes are flying across parts of western Massachusetts!  For the most part, we'll be tracking light snow, but there could be bouts of moderate snow from time to time.

For everyone that will be commuting this evening - I think the roads will be more wet than white.  Right now, it looks like the snow will initially start to accumulate on grassy surfaces, cars, and sidewalks.

By 9 PM, most of western Massachusetts will be contending with snow, but the lower Pioneer Valley could start to see some sleet and freezing rain mix in.  Overnight, all of us can expect the snowflakes to mix with sleet and freezing rain.  That combination will lead to some slippery spots for your Thursday morning commute.  A few spotty rain showers expected tomorrow.
