MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) - The latest snowstorm to hit western Massachusetts brought a little snow to Springfield, but it brought a lot of snow to eastern Hampden County.
One of the towns that picked up the most snow was Monson, where over a foot and a half of snow fell.
The snow came down for a good part of the day and really piled up across eastern sections of Western Massachusetts. On Wales Road in Monson we measured 18 inches of snow and the snow was still coming down.
The snow made it very difficult to get around. The plows did their best to clear the heavy wet snow off the roads.
People spent the day snow blowing and shoveling and some are getting pretty tired of winter.
“Well I'm quite sick of snow to be honest,” said Andrew Piechota of Monson. “It's quite a pain to shovel, but it's New England for you.”
And despite all the snow they picked up Friday you can see the roads are currently in pretty good shape.
