BUFFALO, NY (CNN) - Parts of upstate New York are seeing a heavy snowfall.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning until midday today.
There is also a forecast of a total of 8 to 12 inches of snow by tonight. For those traveling on the roads, New York state police and the DOT have kept plows out to keep roads open. Drivers will still have to be cautious.
Forecasters expect the snow to turn to drizzle. That may cause black ice out on the road.
