KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KSHB) - Pretty much every business in the Kansas City area shut down during last week's winter storm, including the post office.
Mail trucks were parked for two days when snow crippled the area.
While the trucks were stuck the mail piled up.
Once the snow was finally cleared on Sunday postal employees went into overdrive.
They're hoping to catch up before the next round of winter weather, already bearing down on the Midwest, arrives.
"We know the bad weather is coming and we just wanted to sure it was going to be a little easier for us," said mail carrier J.R. Messimer.
