Potential for severe stormstonight

(WWLP) - The 22News Storm Team is tracking the potential for some severe storms to move in during the evening hours.

Storm Team Meteorologist Adam Strzempko says that the storms coming in this afternoon could provide strong, gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning. The storms are expected to arrive in the early evening hours.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for Berkshire County until 9:00 P.M. This means that conditions are favorable for the formation of tornados, but that a tornado is not necessarily imminent.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties until 11:00 P.M.

A Flash Flood Watch has already been issued for Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties due to the potential for soaking rains.
