Red Cross opens shelter at Smith Vocational Northampton

Northhampton, Mass (WWLP) - The American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter opened a shelter in Northampton Sunday night in anticipation of the storm.

The shelter at Smith Vocational High School on Locust Street opened at 11 Sunday as a precaution, and will remain open while there is a need.

Anyone heading to the shelter should be sure to bring pillows, blankets, medications, personal hygiene items and other comfort items such as books and music.
