CHARLEMONT, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts skiers are looking forward to the skiing conditions that result from a snowstorm.
Skiers on the slopes at Berkshire East in Charlemont told 22News, that they have been waiting for some heavy snowfall to make their skiing most enjoyable.
“Real snow is a thrill,” said Jerry Cyr, who has been skiing for 47 years. “We don't get that much in New England. When we get a big storm like this one, we're thankful.”
Christoper Loftus of Berkshire East told 22News that skiers have reason to be excited.
“All skiers live for powder days, and it looks like we'll have some really good powder days coming up and we're excited about that,” Loftus said.
Loftus added that the storm's timing is perfect for them; coming just two weeks before school vacation week.
