WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - The huge snowstorm and ensuing travel ban have made normally bustling parts of western Massachusetts seem like ghost towns on Saturday morning.
In Wilbraham, they are waking up to anywhere from 18-20” of snow on the ground. 40-50 mile per hour wind gusts created 2’ to 3’ snow drifts across much of eastern Hampden County.
On usually busy Boston Road, many businesses remained closed, and few cars were out, as Governor Deval Patrick’s travel ban remained in effect into the morning.
