Discussion:

Flash Flood Watch from 2PM until Monday 8AM

After a cloudy start, we have a good mix of sun and clouds as we start the afternoon. Temperatures have already to 90 degrees at the Westover Air Reserve base making it day 4 of our heat wave. We should stay in the lower 90s and upper 80s throughout the rest of the afternoon. While temperatures may be slightly lower than yesterday, humidity will be just as uncomfortably high. In fact, we will be stuck with similar humidity levels to those found in the state of Florida!

We're tracking a line of showers and thunderstorms heading into western Massachusetts for this afternoon. We should stay mostly storm free until after 2PM. Any thunderstorms that do arrive have the potential to produce flash flooding, gusty winds and frequent lightning. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 2 o'clock this afternoon until early Monday morning. More widespread storms and downpours head our way for tonight and overnight. Low temperatures drop to around 70 tonight.

Showers and storms will taper on Monday morning with increasing sunshine into the afternoon. Highs on Monday will get to the mid 80s with much more refreshing levels of humidity.

Staying mainly dry until the end of the week.
