Weekend storm pattern continues

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - It was a sunny but cold and windy February day on Thursday, but the forecast is calling for changes over the next couple of days. 

We're seeing storms move in along the West Coast, then track across the country and eventually here in New England. On average, that can take about five to seven days.

Even though a lot of snow has melted away, it looks like we could be in for a few more inches of snow coming again on a weekend.

We all remember the big snowstorm that started on Friday, February 8 and continued into Saturday. Many spots picked up around two feet of snow.

A couple inches of snow fell last weekend, but a bigger storm close by, brought lots of snow and wind  to eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod.

Lately, it seems we're getting hit by a storm just about every seven days.

“Yeah, it seems to be that we're always getting hit on the weekends and it spoils weekend plans, that's for sure. Spring's around the corner, it's coming,” said Madeline Hunter of Easthampton.

"I guess if I was working I'm not, I'm retired, I would be upset. My weekends are being wasted shoveling snow. Unless I were a skier, and then I think skiers are probably happy. said Barb Lukis of Palmer.

"I think It's good for the weekends, because most people don't work on the weekends but a lot do, especially in the healthcare profession. But all in all, I think it's good because most people are home and safe with their kids and with their families,” said Suzi Dimenno of Westfield.
