Flash floods strand drivers on interstate

GREENSBORO, N.C. (CNN/NEWS 14 CAROLINA) - Flash floods stranded several drivers in North Carolina.

Motorists were forced to abandon up to 30 cars on this interstate because of the flood waters.

The National Weather Service says as much as five inches of rain fell on Greensboro Monday night.

Authorities urged everyone to stay off the road.
